Satsnakheli (small family company) was founded in 2013. However, the family's main activity was always grape production and wine making. Currently, the company owns 4.5 ha of vineyards planted with the grape varieties Saperavi, Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane, Khikhvi, and Kisi. The company’s goal is to produce high-quality traditional wines. Special care is given to maintenance of soil fertility by applying organic fertilizers only and by avoiding pesticides in plant protection. The quality of the harvest is strictly controlled and the yield is controlled as well as a too high production is considered as negative for obtaining mineral- and flavor- rich grapes. As a consequence of such practices, the company was honored several times different awards. Wines are exported to Germany and will be exported soon to Japan as well. The company operates 22 Qvevri pots, with total capacity of 37 tons.
